Lippod 50mg Injection
is used in the treatment of some kinds of cancer. It is also used in the
treatment of breast cancer, where there is an increased cardiac risk. It can be
used on its own, or sometimes given together with certain other medicines as
part of combination chemotherapy.
Lippod 50mg Injection can be used in both adults and children. It is given as
injection into vein with extreme caution by a qualified medical professional.
Your doctor will decide what dose is necessary and how often you need to take
it. This will depend on what you are being treated for and may change from time
to time. You should take it exactly as your doctor has advised. Taking it in
the wrong way or taking too much can cause very serious side effects. It may
take several weeks or months for you to see or feel the benefits but do not
stop taking it unless your doctor tells you to. It makes contraceptive pills
less effective, so it advised to use reliable contraception during and after 6
months of the treatment.
The most common side effects of this medicine include nausea, vomiting, rash,
weakness, low blood platelets. If they do not go away or get worse, tell your
doctor. There may be ways of preventing or reducing these effects. It is very
strong medicine and some people may develop serious side effects while taking
it. This medicine may lead to problems with your blood, liver or heart. Your
doctor will advise you regular blood tests to check for these.
Before taking this medicine, let your doctor know if you have liver disease.
Your doctor should also know about all other medicines you are taking as many
of these may make this medicine less effective or change the way it works. Tell
your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
USES OF LIPPOD INJECTION
Cancer
Lippod 50mg Injection helps to treat
certain kinds of cancer. It may be used alone or in combination with other
medicines to treat cancer in various parts of the body. It relieves the
symptoms of breast cancer such as breast lumps, bloody discharge from nipples
or changes in the shape or texture of the breast. Lippod 50mg Injection kills
or stops the growth of cancer cells and also prevents the multiplication of
cancer cells. It is a potent and very toxic medicine and you should discuss the
risks and benefits with your doctor. You should avoid drinking alcohol while
having this treatment and drink plenty of water to stay hydrated.
Most side effects do not require any
medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult
your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them

Driving
UNSAFE
Lippod 50mg Injection may decrease
alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive
if these symptoms occur.
Kidney
SAFE IF
PRESCRIBED
Lippod 50mg Injection is safe to use in
patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Lippod 50mg Injection is
recommended.
Caution is advised in patients with severe kidney disease as the information
available is limited for use of this medicine in these patients.
Liver
CAUTION
Lippod 50mg Injection should be used with
caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Lippod 50mg
Injection may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Use of Lippod 50mg Injection is not recommended in patients with severe liver
disease.
