Stimin G Injection is a combination medicine that is used during
anesthesia while performing various medical procedures.
Stimin G Injection is given by your
doctor or nurse. The dose you are given will depend on your condition and how
you respond to the medicine. Let your healthcare team know about all other
medications you are taking as some may affect, or be affected by this medicine.
The most common side effect is allergic reaction. This is temporary and usually
resolves with time. Contact your doctor straight away if you are at all
concerned about these side effects. It may also cause dizziness and sleepiness,
so do not drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how
this medicine affects you. Avoid drinking alcohol while taking this medicine as
it can worsen your dizziness.
Before taking this medicine, you should tell your doctor if you are pregnant,
planning pregnancy or breastfeeding. You should also tell your doctor if you
have any kidney, stomach or liver diseases so that your doctor can prescribe a
suitable dose for you.

Reversing the effects of certain drugs used during surgery
Stimin G Injection is
given to reverse the effects of some of the drugs that were used during surgery
such as anesthetics and skeletal muscle relaxants. It is given in a hospital
setting by a doctor or nurse and should never be self-administered.
Most side effects do not require any medical attention and
disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they
persist or if you’re worried about them

Stimin G Injection is a
combination of two medicines: Glycopyrrolate and Neostigmine. Neostigmine is a
cholinesterase inhibitor which is used at the end of a surgery to reverse the
effects of certain medicines used during surgery such as muscle relaxants and
anesthetics. Glycopyrrolate is an anticholinergic which is added to prevent the
unwanted effects of Neostigmine such as decreased heart rate and excess saliva
production.
Alcohol
UNSAFE
Stimin G Injection may
cause excessive drowsiness with alcohol.
Pregnancy

Stimin G Injection may be
unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans,
animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor
will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you.

Breast feeding
SAFE IF PRESCRIBED
Stimin G Injection is
probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the
drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby.
Long-term use of Stimin G Injection
might reduce milk production.
Driving
UNSAFE
Stimin G Injection may
cause side effects which could affect your ability to drive.
Stimin G Injection may affect vision and
coordination. This may affect your driving ability.
Kidney
CAUTION
Stimin G Injection should
be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Stimin
G Injection may be needed. Please
consult your doctor.
Regular monitoring of kidney function test and some blood tests may advised
while you are taking this medicine.
Liver
SAFE IF PRESCRIBED
Stimin G Injection is
probably safe to use in patients with liver disease. Limited data available
suggests that dose adjustment of Stimin G Injection may not be needed in these patients.
